I spent yesterday planning our next vacation.
And with all the craziness of my surgery and recovery, I almost forgot to get our ducks in a line.
The hubby and I are taking off for Carnival this year and taking a cruise.
We thought we up our game a bit and this time we’re going on a Celebrity cruise.
They have a new ship, Reflection, and we can’t wait for some fun (without cast).
We head from Miami to Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Martin and then 2 sea days.
We even splurged for the Aqua Class….oh la la!
I’m even more excited because on Feb 1st I have an appt. to get my cast off!!!!!
I don’t want to jinx myself, but it looks good.
Can’t wait to play some Craps!
Spa Time…without a cast sounds heavenly!
Alright…enough vacation talk.
Let’s get down to business – WIAW business.
I’m starting to eat better, cleaner, as with guests in town, I can slip off course.
With the lack of mobility, I have also gained 8 pounds.
Yup…that puts me at 148.
I’m trying not to focus on it, but it does drive me a bit crazy.
As soon as this damn cast comes off, I’ll be able to swim.

Are you a cruise person?
We never thought we were until we realized how convenient it was for us.
Glen likes to chill, spa and nap.
I like to tan, play games, gamble and buzz around meeting people.
It’s a perfect way to make us both happy.

148?? Really? You look sooo tiny in your pics! Not that 148 is big but I thought you were one of those 105 people. HA! We love cruising. We went on 2 last year! It’s just so relaxing & there is something for everyone. Have fun!

I am 5’9 Traci, so I tend to hold my weight pretty evenly. Most folks don’t believe me when I give them my weight. Although it is extremely frustrating…I know as soon as I get this cast off the weight will start falling off.
I can’t wait for the cruise….getting so excited!

I didn’t realize you were so tall! I know what you mean about it being frustrating. I’ve worked out & ate really well this week (I thought) & I gained a pound. I’m trying not to worry about the number & just concentrate on how good I feel.

And it includes access to a special, healthier restaurant.
Pay a little extra to do one of the sea days in the spa thing. J and I went to Alaska on a similar ship and I paid for one day. I hung out in the pool and laid on those heated loungers for hours.
We love cruises. We have been on 4.

I’ve never been on a cruise, and though everyone always talks about how huge the ships are, I just can’t imagine being stuck on that thing for a week! I know you make stops, and being stuck on a ship is really no different than staying in one resort for a week, but for some reason I just can’t wrap my brain around it. Maybe some day…
At any rate, your trip sounds lovely and I have to admit that when I heard people talk about Celebrity Cruises I kind of always thought that, well, there would be celebrities on board. Bahahahah!! See, total cruise novice here!
