Happy Monday everyone!
I’ve been a little M.I.A. since Friday.
Yes, I got my cast off.
The good doctor told me the fusion is working.
But, these things take time & since I’m still experiencing some pain, he wanted a new cast to go on.
As you can imagine, I did not.
Especially because we leave for our cruise on Friday.
After convincing him that I promised to leave my aircast on, he agreed.
It felt so good to get all that dead skin off my foot, take a real shower and shave my leg.
I’m still in awe of how tiny my leg is…muscle atrophy much?!
Houston is full of a million amazingly delicious restaurants…
So, basically as soon as I step off that plane, I head out to enjoy the yummy food that awaits me.
Wednesday night, we headed to Piola, this adorable pizza place near downtown.
It had opened around the time I moved to Trinidad, so we never got to try it.
2 thumbs up for sure…this place was cheap, delicious and quick.
The wine list was a little ho-hum, but everything else was awesome.
Thursday, Brook and I stopped for lunch at Brooklyn Athletic Club.
I couldn’t go back to Houston without stopping back by the BAC.
Remember, I tempted you last time I was there…
I love them so much, I convinced the 2 ladies next to us to order them.
No surprise, they loved them too!
Thursday we hit up Soma Sushi.
They have a killer happy hour and one of the best tuna appetizers ever!
Tuna sashimi, citrus, garlic, olive oil, black pepper.
Friday was cast-off day.
We kept it low key and chilled, it was a long day.
I was happy to see the email that informed me that I had gotten upgraded though!
I don’t know what was better, the sunset or the meal.
I don’t think I’ve ever said the meal was amazing.
It was amazing.
Nice work United!
Now we’re all caught up.
Now I can go back to arguing w/our insurance company on the telephone.
Did you like the half time show?
I was not a fan. It was just OK.
Have you ever had a cast?
Hopefully this will be my 1st and last time.
