On Sunday, I headed into the city for the Virgin Sport British 10K. I was super excited to be running it this year because last year I was sidelined with Type 1/blood sugar issues. My adorable husband graciously drove me into the city at 6:30am so I wouldn’t have a crazy early train trip. #besthusbandever Soon I was at the Media centre, checking in and getting my race bib. I was thrilled to see Becca and Marcus, my fellow ASICS Front Runner UK team members.
I was thankful for Virgin Sport for giving me a race entry and for the opportunity to meet Virgin Sport CEO Mary Wittenberg. After getting settled and ready to go, we headed outside for a pre-race warm up and then were taken to our race corrals. I was in the same area as Marcus and after what seemed like forever…we finally got to running around 9:42am.
