This week I’m thankful for…
…such an EPIC weekend. If you’ve been following me on any form of social media, you already know, I was successful this weekend. Just typing those words makes me tear up a bit, not joking.
I ran 8 laps, 46 miles.
I’ve started this post several times and have been a bit lost for words today…maybe its the exhaustion or the lack of sleep over the last 48 hours. Before I get “race brain” and only remember the best bits, I’m relaxing today and writing down as much as possible to help formulate a better “next time” plan.
Yup, you read next time.
So many things to share in the coming weeks but I loved every single minute of this weekend, even when I was dying of extreme nausea (and I mean extreme).
I was über emotional after my 5th lap, mainly because I was only supposed to make 4 laps before 5:45pm but I managed 5 instead. That moment when I saw the clock at the finish line, instantly made me teary eyed. That lasted for exactly one second, until without any warning my husband screamed to the crowd “NEW PB – EVERYONE CHEER”. I was beyond embarrassed…
So thank you everyone for all the support and give me a day or two so I can process the whole experience and then I’ll be back with loads to share about the race, my epic fueling mistakes and so much more!!!
#MondayMotivation Tip: Anything Is Possible! Today is a good of a day as any to pick a BIG, SCARY GOAL and start working toward it. And don’t forget to make the process FUN. My parents used to say that anything was possible and I never forgot it.
Stop comparing yourself to others and work toward your BSG (big scary goal) today.
