When life gets stressful, I start having mini panic attacks. They aren’t bad but they usually involve a breakdown and some tears. It doesn’t happen often but this move has definitely been pushing me to the limits. There’s just so many things still to do and doing this all by myself is more than the usual “move stress”.
Before anyone reading this starts to worry, please don’t I’m OK but I like to be honest here and this is what’s going on. My ADHD meds are getting experimented with too and I don’t think I like this new medicine. Anyways, while running helps, it’s not a magic cure for everything. Sometimes, like now, I need more.
If you have been following me on Instagram lately, you might have seen me painting rocks. My mom turned me onto it a while ago and while at first I thought it was silly. now I’m really into it. I mentioned it a while back on the blog here but since then I’ve seen a lot of international press about people finding painted rocks and hiding them. It’s a cool trend and it’s one thats been bringing me a lot chill time.
Painting rocks is fun and it’s really setting fire to my creativity! It’s also kinda surprising that I don’t suck at it, considering I’ve never been good at anything of the drawing & painting variety.
Grab a rock, get some paint or paint markers (Uni-posca Paint Marker Pen – Extra Fine Point – Set of 12 (PC-1M12C)” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>these ones are the BEST), zone out for 10 minutes and paint away your stress. Then, when your done…go hide your rock and brighten up someone’s day! And knowing that little, should make you smile. It’s a win/win.
